pianist James Williams leading a trio behind him and a winning attitude.  You
would think that would assure all the basic tools a musician needs for success
in the nineties and for the millennium.  That's true, but add to that that Ron
Jones is a player.  The man is one with his instrument, and moves over it with
the surety and confidence of one beyond his years.

In addition his knowledge of the jazz repertoire is extensive.  His CD, A
VISION OF BEAUTY, moves from classics like Cheek To Cheek by Irving Berlin to
Sonny Stitt's The Eternal Triangle and Strayhorn's Lush Life.  A player who
